Regular readers would’ve noticed the new design that was progressively rolled out over the past week. Before you ask, this isn’t a full-fledged upgrade, just a moderate tweak to the original design.
The highlights of this tweak include a new banner plus several buttons. These were created in Photoshop, using a stripe pattern and some shadowing; if anyone’s interested I will write up a tutorial on it. The headings are now in their separate bars, which makes the whole design much neater.

As for colour, I’ve decided to stick with grayscale for now. This is because it makes the content much easier to read, and also because on the scale of design skills, I’m still an utter noob. I’m enjoying all this design work, so expect things to improve in time to come.
I’m interested in feedback, both positive and negative, as long as it’s constructive. Do you like the new 50Volts and what more could I do?

I like it. Minimalistic and easy on the eyes. Sure a single other color could spice things up a bit, but it’s not a must.
